Artwork Information (continued) Artist Statement - A detailed story about the work for viewer's understanding. The 01 as it unfolds... Being one of the first artists to be listed on Loot NFT is a privilege as it gives me the opportunity to express my creative brilliance. I intended to interpret "Breathe" as a giant leap into a new world, both in terms of NFTs and addressing the global impact of covid- 19. As an artist, I feel resurrected in this digital revolution. Having read about the implications and technology behind NFTs, I personally feel that Loot NFT will revolutionize art sectors across the globe. It is extremely expensive for contemporary artists to build a portfolio and effectively establish their brand, however, this is not impossible. Many artists underestimate their creative potential while being tortured with thoughts of self-doubt and insecurities, therefore this experience may be extremely daunting. As artists, we often question our own talent, the value of our work, and whether it will be well received or not. I addressed those themes via spontaneous style technique, where I start off by representing a subject lifting its hoodie to demonstrate artists coming out of their comfort zone and facing a new hope. Keeping my usual magenta colour palette, my brush strokes are usually intuitive and the main focus highlights the eyes. Letting the art speak for itself, is also my strategy. It eventually expresses the animosity of mystery, darkness, and hope for the viewers. The 01, is a self-evolving piece and I attribute this to its uniqueness. Experiencing its unveiling as the creator is euphoric. Almost like a magician crafting a new trick!
