Artwork Information (continued) Artist Statement - A detailed story about the work for viewer's understanding. Freddie Mercury was a singer-songwriter and musician who's music reached the top of U.S. and British charts in the 1970s and 1980s. As the frontman of Queen, Freddie was one of the most talented and innovative singers of the Rock era. One of the most amazing qualities of Freddie was his genius. Not just as a musician, artist and performer but as a visionary. He changed the field of popular music…he was constantly transforming and that is why so many artists put him on their most inspirational list to this day. I can say that Freddie Mercury's music was always present during my childhood and even my adolescence. I am really passionate of the 1970-2000 music. When I started Human Wonders, it was obvious to paint Freddie at his peak. The King of Queen deserves to be under a crown, a crown at his look a colorful crown. I wanted to represent Freddie in my own way. Using my feelings, my colors and my touch of spontaneity to show how majestic he was. My touch of color in this painting will ignite the wish to listen or see him. What I would like for you to feel about one of my favorite paintings, is to keep admiring and get the sensation that we are indeed looking at a King.
