Link to show the production of the creation (if any): Page 2 of 3 As I long for a place I've never visited before, As I linger for an unknown feeling, I hold on to ignorance. I hold on to a not-so-distant memory, for it is guiding me to a place I'm yet to discover. When I am asked what my paintings are about, I can only reply "Everything!" My paintings are expressions of events and feelings from my daily life and are representations of sceneries I see around me. This is my way of making sense of my inner and outer world. My paintings depict memories, feelings- bloom and bliss, happiness and sadness, wholeness and emptiness at the same time as I explore the dualities of life. When I paint, I trust the movement of the wind around, the viscosity of the pouring medium, and the movements of my hand until I am satisfied with the flow and streaks on the canvas. For example, "KINTSUGI" is a reflection of a feeling of duality- the reminiscence of my emotions and places I long to visit. The golden streaks bind the white to the black, creating the finest and boldest unification of two feelings. This artwork combines various materials such as Acrylic paints and inks, Silicone pouring mediums, silicone oil, and epoxy resin. I have been inspired by Mark Chadwick, who is a Fluid Painting Artist. He uses a vibrant colour palette in his creations but I wanted to create a monochromatic series. As an artist, I will always leave it to the viewer's appreciation and emotions. The viewer creates his/her own understanding of a painting.
